IRENE J.I. LARDIZABAL, M. ED. TESL

Irene Jocelyn Irong-Lardizabal is the director and owner of ESLplus Inc., a private educational institute located in Toronto and Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. She is a regular speaker, trainer, and mentor of ESL teachers in both provincial and national TESL conferences in Canada. An author of four ESL books published in Canada, Irene has conducted workshops for hundreds of ESL professionals across Canadian school boards, government organizations and private ESL centres, as well as TESOL International conference in the USA. She was recently nominated and eventually presented the “Award of Creativity” by TESL Peel, Halton and Etobicoke affiliate in Ontario, Canada.

Irene has obtained her BA English (1987) and M. Ed. TESL (1991) from University of the Philippines. She has taught for 23 years in the Philippines (Refugee Camp in Morong, Bataan and De La Salle University), United Arab Emirates (University of Wollonggong, American University in Dubai, ESL Language Centres, Institute for Australian Studies and Centre for American Studies) and Canada (International Language Schools in Canada and Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board).

Irene is also the director and owner of the Academy of Teaching and Training (Canada) and TESL Training Center (Philippines).
